Charity Cricket Festival – 24th July 2022

The charity cricket festival hosted by the Duke of Wellington Pub was a great success! We had a tombola stall filled with treasures from the shop, and a trainee art stall stocked with our talented artist’s products.

Despite our stalls, I think the biggest hit was Richard with his £1 portraits! SOLD’s very own Picasso.

The cricket event was fantastic to watch, everyone had a go at batting – we definitely discovered some hidden cricket stars amongst the trainees! This event was a fundraiser for SOLD and our friends at ESTEEM, and we were gifted an amazing £150 – a massive thank you to everyone at the Welly!

Shoreham Raft Race – 16th July 2022

Everyone loves the Shoreham Raft Race and this year was no different. Another amazing local fundraiser that has everyone laughing and cheering! Groups build and decorate their own raft and race against each other on the River Adur.

The group photographed came into SOLD in the morning to buy some last minute decorations and they didn’t disappoint with their fantastic raft! We definitely think they looked the best.

Moon & Stars Festival – 18th June 2022

Every year we attend the Beach Dreams festival, however this year due to Covid it was cancelled last minute. As the community was so disappointed, Shoreham Allstars and Over the Moon – two amazing local Community Interest Companies – collaborated to bring us the Moon & Stars Festival! Funds were raised and everything was organised on such short notice – it was amazing to see everyone come together for the community!

It was a wonderful event with live music from local musicians, interactive craft activities, stalls, and a parade! We attended with our famous £1 Pop Up Stall, which was a great hit!

Trainee Artwork Launch – 29th May 2022

This year for the first time ever, we participated in the Adur Art Trail by launching a range of products designed by our very own trainees!

We have taken the artwork and gotten them printed onto t-shirts, mugs, cushions, cards, stickers, as well as selling the prints! Come to the shop to purchase or make a special order, you might even meet some of the artists themselves!

Name the “Autisticasaurus Rex” Competition – April 2022

For Autism Acceptance Month we held a competition to come up with the best name for our Autisticasaurus Rex! All money raised through this fun competition went directly to help those in Ukraine. We had over 700 amazing donations and name suggestions.

The amazing name that was chosen in the end? Sexy Rexy! The lovely Paula entered this name and came to the shop to collect her new boney friend. She tried to ride him home but in the end Lucy helped her carry him home down Shoreham High Street! Not every day you see a T.Rex make it’s way down the High Street…
